  • Identifiable Person Any person who may be identified, directly or indirectly, through any information regarding his physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity.   • Interconnection Means the physical and logical linking of public communications networks used by the same or a different undertaking in order to allow the users of one undertaking to communicate with users of the same or another undertaking, or to access services provided by another undertaking. Services may be provided by the parties involved or other parties who have access to the network. Interconnection is a specific type of access implemented between public network operators (Article 2(b) Directive 2002/19/EC).
  • Intermediary With Respect to a Particular Data Message Means a person who, on behalf of another person, sends, receives or stores that data message or provides other services with respect to that data message (Article 2(e) UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Commerce).
  • International Transfer of Data Data processing that implies their transmission outside the territory of the European Economic Area, whether as an assignment or data disclosure, or for the purpose of data processing on behalf of the data controller established in Spanish territory (Article 5.1.s Royal Decree 1720/2007).
  • Interoperability Means a state of affairs whereby cards issued in one Member State and/or belonging to a given card system can be used in other Member States and/or in the networks installed by other systems. This requires that the cards and readers used in the various systems must be technologically compatible and that systems must be opened up by means of reciprocity agreements (Point II(5) Commission Recommendation 87/598/EEC).
  • Invitation to Purchase Means a commercial communication which indicates characteristics of the product and the price in a way appropriate to the means of the commercial communication used and thereby enables the consumer to make a purchase (Article 2(i) Directive 2005/29/EC).
  • Issuer Means any banking or credit institution issuing a payment card for electronic use, plus any production or service undertaking which can also issue such a card (Point II(2) Commission Recommendation 87/598/EEC).
